We hope everyone had a great summer and you’re off to a strong start on 2024’s final stretch. It’s always crazy how fast time flies, and this year is no exception.

As you’ve come to expect on our blog, here’s a quick rundown of the highlights from the past few months. Q3 has been one of the quieter quarters in terms of public announcements. That doesn’t mean everyone took the summer off but rather have been heads down building. Look for some exciting news soon!

Funding Announcements

We welcomed Optimotive to the V1 family, leading their $2M seed round to launch next-gen outdoor robots and redefine construction automation. In case you missed it, you can read our funding announcement detailing why we’re so excited about this opportunity.

Leadership Changes

Manny Medina is stepping down as CEO of Outreach, the sales automation software company he helped start a decade ago. Abhijit Mitra, who joined Outreach last year as president of product and technology, will become the new CEO and Manny will step into a new role as Executive Chairman of Outreach’s board. We thank Manny for his amazing run and vision over the past 10 years and welcome Abhijit to the helm.

Product Updates and Partnerships

Patch, in partnership with Workday, launched a Carbon Credit Playbook for Chief Sustainability Officers.

EtherFi is launching Cash, a crypto-native credit card that lets you spend and borrow against your ether.fi balance in the real world. Plus, the card rewards 3% cash-back. EtherFi launched a dedicated market on Aave, which provides users a way to borrow stablecoins…laying the groundwork for EtherFi Cash.

Tenderly is integrating with World Chain, a new blockchain from the Worldcoin project where verified humans enjoy priority blockspace over bots. With the integration, developers can use Tenderly’s full-stack infrastructure to build, test, and scale advanced DApps on World Chain, moving fast through all stages of Web3 development.

Uniswap Hook Incubator, which guides devs through every step of launching a hook, is now open for applications for their 3rd cohort. If you know someone who’s interested, the program begins October 10 and the application can be found here.

Jobber is partnering with global small business platform Xero. The integration connects with Xero’s cloud accounting software, enabling home service businesses to easily sync their customers, products, services, invoices and payments from Jobber to Xero. Ada and OpenAI speak about their partnership, and how Ada chose to work with OpenAI to build the new generation of their AI agent. Resolution rates have doubled with the new AI agent, and Ada has set their sights on 100% resolution rates.
